ProperTYX app privacy policy
Who we are
ProperTYX is property management software made by Power Digital ("we", "us"). Landlords and property managers ("your landlord") use ProperTYX to manage their properties, leases and tenants. Your landlord decides what information goes into their ProperTYX account and is responsible for it. We host and run the service for them and handle personal information only to provide it.
We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who can use the app
You cannot sign up in the app. Your landlord creates staff accounts, or invites tenants by email. The app is for business and tenancy use and is not directed at children.
What the app collects

Camera and photos
The app asks for camera or photo access only when you choose to take or attach a photo for a maintenance request or an inspection. Only the photos you pick are uploaded. The app does not read the rest of your photo library.
What the app does not do
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking software from other companies.
- No location tracking and no access to your contacts.
- We do not sell personal information or use it for marketing.
On your phone
After you sign in, the app keeps a sign in token so you stay signed in. On iPhone it is kept in the iOS Keychain; on Android it is encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore. Signing out deletes it from the phone and ends it on our server. Tokens expire after 30 days.
Who can see your information
Staff at your landlord who manage your property can see your tenancy records, requests and inspections. Tenants see only their own lease and requests. Inspection reports are visible to the tenant once staff share them. Your landlord may share information with others where needed to run the tenancy, such as a trade contractor attending a repair, their accountant or an insurer, or where the law requires it. We do not share it with anyone else, except service providers who help us run the service (such as our hosting provider) under confidentiality obligations, or where the law requires it.
Where it is stored and for how long
Information is stored on servers in Sydney, Australia, sent over encrypted connections and backed up on a schedule. Your landlord decides how long tenancy records are kept; financial and tenancy records are usually kept for at least seven years after a tenancy ends because the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct the personal information held about you, or ask for your account to be deleted. See Delete your account. Some records may need to be kept by your landlord for legal or accounting reasons, but your sign in will be removed. You can also ask your landlord directly.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If something goes wrong
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will work with your landlord to tell you and the Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will also be shown in the app.
